This is the humble beginnings of my Gertrude sweater by Smith Island Pattern Factory. So- what you see here is the basic staples of knitting time. Got my "bubble" jammies, journal, great yarn (kathmandu Aran) and a delicious cup of mega coffee! I started this project over the weekend being that my Knightsbridge sweater and Purl beret #4 have reached completion. I've wanted to knit the Gertrude for a while-I think the construction is interesting. I'm working on the back right now and should be up to the sleeves by tomorrow. (the sleeves are created with a knitted cast on NEATO!)

One of the customers at Rosie's Yarn Cellar called it
"handsome" and I couldn't think of a better way to
describe the KnightsBridge Sweater. YAY!

Not another Purl Beret!
This is my Stripy Hot Pink Purl Beret, it is almost finished.
I'd better have a good reason for another one of these, right?
Well, I gave the first two away and finally made a third for myself.
Unfortunately, that one is lost. In the meantime what am I to do without
a super cute beret for the winter? Duh...make another one! I was really
lucky to be at Rosie's when some new colors of Koigu arrived. I got this great hot pink shade to stripe with a pale grey. I am so close to finishing!

Purl Beret #2

The purl Beret is super fun to work because it knits up super fast. I used two different skeins of Koigu (1/2 skein each). I was finished in two days. The pattern can be found on purlbee.com under the Purl Beret. I am working on my fourth beret, it will be in HOT PINK and grey. It is a delicious combination.
